Job Overview :

The User Acceptance Tester performs an essential and high-profile role within the Change Management function, planning and executing testing the impact of product development and change upon Contis’ banking and payments platform, back-office and front-end portals, applications and functionality.

Responsibilities & Duties : 

The User Acceptance Tester will:

  • Create test plans for regression testing, and testing of new system developments (incl. full documentation using Jira and similar SDLC tools)
  • Work with Development and QA teams to quickly identify, report and fix bugs
  • Work with internal stakeholders to gain their support with testing and sign-off of new developments
  • Support the Business Analyst in gathering development requirements and drafting of development requests
  • Provide feedback throughout the organization on product and how it might be improved
  • Support the release validation process outside of core working hours, this is typically done monthly, incl. working from midnight to 10.00 but this is always subject to change and the role requires flexibility
  • Work effectively with both UK and Indian based resources, working effectively across the time zones
  • Perform other tasks falling to the Change Management area, as required by the business

Skills & Knowledge Required : 

  • 5 years’ experience as a UAT tester or in a similar environment
  • Appropriate academic and test qualifications
  • Innate curiosity about how things work and how they might be improved
  • Attention to detail, particularly around the elegance and user-friendliness of user-journeys, user-interfaces etc
  • Experience of testing card/payment systems (desirable)
