Job Overview :

Contis has spent over ten years developing a proprietary banking and payments engine for clients to ‘white-label’.  Clients range from established global players to new start-ups who avail themselves of Contis’ one-stop-shop banking, card issuing and card processing platform that operates across the SEPA (Credit Transfers, Direct Debits), UK (Direct Debits, Faster Payments etc)  and Visa (prepaid and debit).  Separately, Contis powers the UK Credit Union movement with a full consumer banking and debit card offering.  Contis’ platform is proprietary, supported by its own team of developers and testers and delivers industry-leading levels of uptime

 Responsibilities & Duties : 

  • To generate revenue and secure profitable new business whilst achieving sales targets.
  • Sell Contis’ own branded and white label financial services products into chosen market sectors and territories in Europe.
  • Manage business wins through to delivery. Identify new market opportunities and product evaluation to drive growth
  • Create and agree business plan annually with General Manager.
  • Build manage and maintain substantial pipeline of qualified opportunities to underpin target achievement.
  • Execute against agreed business plan and provide weekly and monthly report detailing progress, actions and any changes required in order to meet financial targets.
  • Prospect and create a constant flow of leads in the chosen market sectors.
  • Ensure all pipeline activity is accurately recorded in CRM.
  • Thoroughly research and understand individual market sectors to identify potential customer targets.
  • Ability to demonstrate Contis product and services suite to a high standard.
  • Continually develop knowledge and skills to ensure they remain current and relevant.
  • Negotiate pricing and contractual terms as required and in line with company guidelines.
  • Own, manage and control delivery of sales and tender documentation.
  • Liaise with other areas of the business as appropriate including marketing, delivery, compliance, customer services and finance. 
  • Ensure completion of all required sales documentation and adhere to sales processes.

Skills & Knowledge Required :  

  • Candidate must have experience working in the payments industry, with exposure to European payment processing methods. A knowledge of card issuing and/or processing capabilities would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrable experience of successful business development with a network of fintech, banking and payments industry contacts.
  • Demonstrable experience of building business through existing business relationships.
  • Demonstrate sales delivery from a standing start.
  • Experience of working with marketing through all channels.
  • A successful communicator at all levels and through all media.
  • Effective and influential presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical ability.
  • Effective time management.
  • Methodical and organised with a good attention to detail.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements in financial services industry.
  • Maintain absolute client and company confidentiality at all times.
